‘Best night of my life’ – Travis Kelce breaks silence on marrying Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce has spoken publicly for the first time about his wedding to Taylor Swift, calling it the “best night of my life”.
The singer and NFL player, both 36, tied the knot at New York’s Madison Square Garden on July 3.
More than 1,000 guests attended the event and while many have since posted photos on social media from the night, the newly-weds themselves are yet to share any snaps or details from their big day.
However, Kelce has now broken his silence on their recent nuptials.
Following a practice session with his team the Kansas City Chiefs, the professional American footballer addressed tying the knot.
Speaking to reporters, he said: “It was a fun off-season, man.
“Wedding was the best night of my life and I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us.”
He went on to call it a “crazy night” that was “full of a lot of celebration”.
The NFL player also shared that it had been his “childhood dream” to go to Madison Square Garden.
“I always told myself I’d go for a play-off game when the [New York] Knicks were rocking,” he said.
“My wife went when I was stuck in training camp. I didn’t get my opportunity to go then.
“So, it’s kind of cool to be able to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue … the mecca of all sports venues.”
He added: “To be able to get married in there … I can’t thank the owners of MSG enough for letting us get the opportunity to do that knowing that we wanted a private event and everything, it was perfect. The AC was cooking … that was the best part.”
In the nearly six weeks since Swift and Kelce’s wedding, neither has released any official images from the day.
The marriage was officiated by Adam Sandler, with some of the other guests including Graham Norton, Andrew Scott, Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Zoe Kravitz, and Hugh Grant.
Other notable guests included Camila Cabello, Jason Sudeikis, Jimmy Fallon, Tom Brady, Chris Rock, Jessica Alba, Steven Spielberg, Eric Stonestreet, Stephen Colbert, Sombr, Kelsea Ballerini, Benson Boone, Tommy Hilfiger and Miranda Lambert.
A billboard outside the venue read “JUST&T MARRIED” after the ceremony took place.
Their romance began in 2023 after Kelce publicly announced on his podcast that he was interested in Swift, which she later said was a “wild, romantic gesture”.
Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post in August 2026, which read: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
