Comedian Billy Connolly has announced today that he will perform two Irish gigs next year.

The famous Scot will play Belfast’s SSE Arena on February 11 and Dublin’s 3Arena on February 17 as part of High Horse tour.

Billy revealed in 2013 that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson's and prostate cancer on the same day, since then he has been given the all-clear from cancer.

The 73-year-old unfortunately had to stop playing his banjo because of his Parkinson's but said he would never give up performing stand-up.

Tickets for the gigs go on sale on October 21 at 9am from ll Ticketmaster outlets.
