Cage and Diaz set to star in 'The Green Hornet'

Nicolas Cage and Cameron Diaz are reportedly in talks to appear alongside Seth Rogen in 'The Green Hornet'.

Cage is gunning for the role of villain in the film, while Diaz is up for the main love interest, according to movie magazine Variety.

The film, which will star Rogen as the eponymous crime fighter, will be released next summer.

The Canadian comedian, actor and writer, who has penned the script with Evan Goldberg, is undergoing a strict fitness regime to get himself in shape for the role.

It is based on the 1930s radio series, which was also serialised on TV in the 1960s featuring martial arts star Bruce Lee.
