Pop beauty Gwen Stefani paid tribute to late US civil rights icon Rosa Parks at her Detroit, Michigan concert on Saturday.

African-American Parks, who made headlines almost 50 years ago when she challenged Alabama's segregation laws and refused to give up her seat on a bus for a white man, died in Detroit last month of natural causes.

At Stefani's sell-out gig at the Palace of Auburn Hills, the No Doubt star dedicated her Love Angel Music Baby album track Long Way To Go to Parks.
