Atkinson lines up sequels

Rowan Atkinson is reportedly planning sequels to both Bean and Johnny English in the hope of getting one or the other into cinemas sometime in 2005.

Bean, the 1997 spin-off from Atkinson’s hit television series, grossed £150m (€219m) worldwide. The spy spoof Johnny English, six years later, has so far reached £100m (€146m) and has established Atkinson as a genuine international film star.

The two sequels will be developed with their original writers and which film comes first will depend on which script progresses faster, reports Variety.
