Bad Boys ll top US box office
Bad Boys II topped the US cinema box office at the weekend, knocking Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl into second place.
The sequel, which stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, took an estimated £30 million over the weekend.
By the end of the week, it's expected to have surpassed the entire run of the first film, which clocked €59m in 1995.
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl was still doing good business at the box office, bringing in about €29m.
Both of the top two films were produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
Sean Connery's League of Extinguished Gentlemen was third most popular film, ahead of Rowan Atkinson's Johnny English and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.
