Season for buyers at Dolan’s sales

Paul Henry’s Old-Age Pensioners comes up at Bonhams in London on November 14. It is estimated at £100,000-£150,000.

THE estimates for Dolan’s auction of Irish art at Castletroy Park Hotel in Limerick tomorrow says it all. This is the season for buyers.

Contemporary Irish art by well-liked artists is available for estimates which range from under €200 up to around €4,000. Price guides in these ranges would have seemed ridiculously low a few short years ago.
