Tirlán extends drought support package
Order deadline that falls within the support package is August 15 before 1pm.
Due to the ongoing impact of drought on grass supply, Tirlán have announced the extension of its drought support package.
Tirlán have reported that milk volumes at processing sites have fallen below forecast levels, while milk protein percentages have declined week-on-week over the past three weeks.
This support package is designed to help farmers maintain herd performance, support milk production and protect winter feed reserves during these challenging conditions.
The ongoing drought in parts of the Tirlán catchment has reduced grass growth, increasing the need for purchased feed and conserved forage. In response, Tirlán has extended the deadline for its support package available to milk suppliers.
The package offers immediate support of:
- €40 per tonne rebate on GAIN dairy feed.
- €10 per tonne rebate on Irish rolled cereals.
- €3 per tonne rebate on straights.
- €20 per tonne rebate on fertiliser purchases.
The support now applies to qualifying products ordered between July 10 and Friday, August 15, 2026, before 1pm, and delivered on or before Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
Alongside the feed support, Tirlán’s advisory teams are working with milk suppliers to help provide advice on grassland management, feeding strategies and fodder planning.
This offer is available to all Tirlán milk suppliers with no cpl spend requirement. Rebates will be credited to qualifying customers' (end-users/farmers) trading accounts in September 2026. Tirlán have also said reasonable usage limits will apply to orders.
The co-op encourages all milk suppliers to place final orders ahead of the 1pm deadline on August 15 through their local Tirlán branch, their business manager, or online via the TirlanFarmLife.com website through the “My Account” portal.
