With land prices in East Cork spiking in recent years, a 17-acre parcel of pasture with Mallow-based auctioneers Sherry Fitzgerald O’Donovan offers some reasonable temptation that should suit a number of pockets.
The property is at Moanlahan; approximately 11km southwest of Fermoy and the M8.
It’s an area that hasn’t the Golden Vale perfection of some of those close to it but it still offers some quality acreage at a time when grassland prices in Munster are continuuing to soar.
“Essentially, it’s an attractive and affordable holding,” says selling agent Michael O’Donovan. “It’s laid out in four different fields. The lands are west facing and gently sloping towards a stream on the western boundary.”
There is good access from a lane off the tarred road at Cappagh Cross. The dwelling house that’s currently surrounded on most sides by the land is excluded from the property for sale, leaving it about just the land in this case.
Overall, there should be plenty of interest in the parcel locally in this productive agricultural zone at an attractive price guide of €185,000 (€11,000/acre).
