The Minister for Public Expenditure Paschal Donohoe said they would be examining other measures to support farmers in the wake of the nitrates decision to put Ireland in a strong position when engaging with the European Union.

Speaking at the Ploughing Championships today, Minister Donohoe said the Government has already recognised the changes that were coming down the tracks in previous budgets.
