Farmers can avail of fruit and vegetable provision
The Scottish Derogation can cater for persons who never held Single Payment entitlements, but who actively farmed in the beef, dairy, sheep or arable sectors in 2013, and who can provide verifiable evidence of such production on May 15. 2013.
The Fruit and Vegetable Provision can cater for persons who grew fruit and/or vegetables in 2013 on at least one hectare.
Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney has also announced the availability of an online application for persons whose allocation of entitlements under the Basic Payment Scheme has been impacted by force majeure circumstances.
He has also reminded farmers that on-line application for the ‘Specific Disadvantage’ category of the National Reserve (known as the ‘Old Young Farmers’) has been available since April 1.
