€10,000 an acre sought for well-sited North Cork farm
Handy for Cork City and just off the main Cork/Mallow road, the sale of a substantial, 90-acre holding at Ballyvalon, Grenagh, should pique interest.
Noted for its high-quality dairy farms, this residential farm-sale comprises 90 acres in a location with frontage onto three roads that would allow the farm to be sold in lots.
Including a single-storey, traditional farm house, in a traditional setting, surrounded by trees and at the end of laneway access from the road, the property is old-fashioned, but offers quality land in a great location, says auctioneer, Dan Fleming.
He prices the property it in the region of €10,000 per acre, which is also close to a local farm and not too far off the main road, with Blarney and Blackpool adjacent.
The farm has been leased over a number of years and comes in good condition and it’s also suitable as tillage ground, says Dan Fleming.
“It could sell in two or three lots and it would be easily bought and easily worked,” he says.
