Facebook starts supporting Apple Live Photos

Your Facebook News Feed may soon look a whole lot more animated. Facebook announced that's it's rolling out support for Apple's Live Photos.

This is a new feature found on the latest iPhones that captures a three-second video surrounding the time that a photo is taken. Apple says that "At the heart of a Live Photo is a beautiful 12-megapixel photo," but you also get the moments before and after the picture was taken along with sound to bring the photo to life.

It's similar to what HTC's Zoe tried, but that failed to garner the support of heavyweights such as Facebook.
