Samsung may struggle with demand of Galaxy S6 edge
It said that it takes longer to manufacturer components for the iconic wrap-around touch screen on the S6 Edge. This means, according to experts, that people may have to order the handset and wait. This in turn will delay the price from dropping.Mobile analyst, Thomas Husson at Forrester told the BBC that Samsung will have “a serious issue if the shortage is due to the difficulty of producing the curved screen.” Samsung is under pressure from Apple at the high-end of the market, while Asian manufacturers are nipping at their heels thanks to the lower price points of their devices.Samsung predicts that there will be more interest in the more conventional Galaxy S6 device. However, it will have to manage the supply of the S6 edge carefully to avoid disappointment and lost sales.A Samsung UK spokesperson told the BBC that they are "working hard" to fulfil pre-orders and sales "as soon as possible."
