Ireland facing shortfall of over 20,000 engineers in next decade

Ireland is facing an alarming shortfall of engineers, it has been claimed, as key national infrastructure projects come on stream over the coming decade.

Cork branch of Engineers Ireland chairman Mark Cotter has warned that the country could have a shortage of more than 22,300 engineers in the next 10 years.
