Ibec elects AIB chief Colin Hunt as its new president

Employer group's new president will use his term to work with government, industry, communities and Ibec membership to progress Ireland's ambitions

Colin Hunt, chief executive of AIB, has been elected as the new Ibec president for 2025-26, succeeding the employer group's outgoing president Anne O’Leary, head of Meta Ireland.

Colin Hunt said: “It is a great honour to represent the business community in Ireland, both at home and abroad. This generation must consider how we can create a lasting impact in addressing these issues.
