Dublin recruiter and Waterford content creator on the latest tax defaulters list
Revenue published details of 20 settlements totalling €11.6m, covering the period from April to June.
A Dublin recruitment consultancy topped the latest tax defaulters list published by the Revenue.
Allen Recruitment Consulting Limited, now in liquidation, had a settlement of over €4.1m. The Dublin 2-based recruitment consultants, with an address at 19 Pembroke Street Upper, were the subject of a Level 2 audit case for the under-declaration of PAYE, PRSI, USC and VAT. The settlement, comprising €2,415,869 in tax, €1,109,571 in interest and €621,648 in penalties, remained entirely unpaid as of June 30.
Central Fusion Limited, an events concession provider based at the Innovation Centre, Queens Road, Belfast, had a settlement of €1.73m following a Level 2 risk review case for the under-declaration of VAT. The settlement was made up of €828,516 in tax, €391,000 in interest and €507,567 in penalties.
Dublin landlord and PAYE employee Michelle Lawlor, of 182 Glasnevin Avenue, Glasnevin, was the subject of a Revenue investigation case for the under-declaration of income tax. A settlement was made of €1.29m, comprising €537,226 in tax (including a surcharge of €42,224), €352,928 in interest and €398,479 in penalties. Of this, €1,181,731 remained unpaid as of June 30.
Sofine Features Limited, now dissolved, an online content creator based at 2 The Drive, River Park, Gracedieu, Waterford, was the subject of a Level 2 risk review case for the under-declaration of PAYE, PRSI and USC. The company reached a settlement of €345,601, of which €334,601 remained unpaid as of June 30.
Rockeco Limited, a retail and exhibition display service provider based at Crag Avenue, Clondalkin Industrial Estate, Dublin 22, had a settlement of €1.26m following a Level 2 audit case for the under-declaration of PAYE, PRSI, USC and VAT. The settlement comprised €549,292 in tax, €320,147 in interest and €396,759 in penalties.
Caritas Healthcare Unlimited Company, a pharmacy retailer with an address at the Black Church, St Mary's Place, Dublin 7, was the subject of a Revenue audit case for the under-declaration of VAT and restriction of VAT repayment. The company was ordered to pay €560,815, made up of €372,356 in tax, €76,753 in interest and €111,706 in penalties, of which €200,119 remained unpaid.

Seven of the settlements published were not fully paid by June 30, with €6,733,739 remaining outstanding. The published list reflects only a portion of Revenue's compliance activity. In the same three-month period, 18,648 compliance interventions were settled, yielding €129,754,243 in total.
Revenue also published details of 54 cases where €129,897.50 in court fines were imposed.
These include eight cases relating to failure to lodge income tax returns, corporation tax returns or VAT returns, 17 cases of misuse of marked mineral and 20 cases of excise offences for tobacco smuggling, illegal selling of tobacco and possession of untaxed tobacco for sale or delivery.
