Cork-based animal nutrition business, Nutribio, has upgraded its production facility in Tivoli at a cost of more than €1.5m.
Founded in 1998, Nutribio currently operates from two sites located in Tivoli and Little Island, with its modernised packing line replacing two older units.
The company also said the upgrade would double the capacity at the manufacturing facility and aid the production of up to 400 bags an hour which is designed to cater for growing demand in the marketplace.
This latest investment follows on from the multi-million investment in a new Performance Nutrition manufacturing plant at their premises at Wallingstown, Little Island in recent years.
Nutribio also offers contract manufacturing, packaging, distribution and licensing solutions to animal nutrition IP holders interested in targeting EU and International markets.
Since its inception more than 25 years ago, the firm has grown significantly and has added several new products to its existing portfolio of animal nutrition ranges which are widely available across farm stores and Co-Ops nationwide.
Following these investments, Nutribio' said it is in a position to "take advantage" of international growth opportunities as it looks forward into the future.
