Alliance Medical opens €4.5m imaging centre at Manor West in Tralee

A new €4.5m independent, outpatient imaging centre was opened at Manor West in Tralee on Friday. 

The Manor West Imaging Centre brings MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound and DEXA services together, providing fast access to independent diagnostic care in the region. Alliance Medical operates over 40 clinical locations across Ireland.

"Every aspect of the clinic has been designed to provide a welcoming, comfortable and efficient experience, strengthening access to community-based diagnostics," said Alliance Medical Diagnostic Imaging area manager Doireann Ní Shéaghdha. "With MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound and DEXA available under one roof, supported by an experienced team and timely reporting by Irish based consultant radiologists, we’re committed to providing the standard of care we’d want for our own families."

The centre in Tralee was opened by minister for children, disability, and equality, Norma Foley. ‘This significant investment represents an important enhancement of local healthcare services.," said Ms Foley. 

Alliance Medical employs more than 600 professionals nationwide, and performs over 600,000 scans annually. The company has operated in Kerry for over 20 years.
