AIB Academy launches programme for business start-ups

Business start-ups are being given the opportunity to secure investment and mentoring today.

The AIB Academy - which offers participants support, information and training - is launching their 2016/2017 programme.

The project is now in its third year and offers more than 70 start-up boot camps throughout Ireland.

Chief Marketing Officer in AIB, Tom Kinsella, says the participants learn a lot during the programme.

He said: "I think that learning works both ways, we've been able to bring a skill set and access via our own network of customers throughout our own business this year through our Entrepreneur's Academies.

"But also we've learned an awful lot about what it is that start-ups need and what kind of support that they need.

"This enables us then to be able to provide them with a better service, and our role really is to support those start-ups."
