Property prices increasing

National residential property prices went up by 1.6% in October.

Latest figures from the CSO show an overall increase of 7.6% on an annual basis.

In October, the rise was slower in Dublin at 1%, than outside the capital, where prices increased by just over 2%.

However, nationally, they are still over a third lower than the peak in 2007.
