Shell handed fine over August 2011 North Sea oil spill
Energy giant Shell has been fined £22,500 (€31,943) in relation to an oil spill in the North Sea which was the worst in the region for a decade.
The company carried out a review of its North Sea pipeline system following the leak, which came from a subsea pipeline in the Gannet field in August 2011.
