IMF conference to meet in Dublin Castle

An international Monetary Fund conference in Dublin today will focus on the lessons learned from the banking crisis here.
Managing Director of the IMF Christine Lagarde will speak at the event in Dublin Castle.
Politicians, economists, and banking experts will also participate in panel discussions on economic issues in Ireland and the EU.
The conference will focus on the theme of 'Ireland, and the lessons learned from its Recovery from the Bank-Sovereign Loop'.
Economist from University College Dublin, Colm McCarthy, is due to take part in a discussion later about EU policies.
He says despite low borrowing costs in Europe, the EU is still not immune to another potential crisis.
"At some stage, the markets will return to normal and countries will face somewhat higher borrowing costs than they do now," he said.
"The other risk is that something could go wrong, and you could have another Eurozone crisis.
"There's an election in Greece on Sunday next, and you could see problems emerging across the Eurozone as a result."
