IFA: Rising food production costs will lead to job losses

The Irish Farmers' Association is warning that many people could be out of a job if rising costs in food production are not curbed.
The association will launch a report today to highlight how the cattle and sheep sectors contribute to the Irish economy.
It will also highlight that if the industry continues to decline, more people will be forced to join the dole queues.
John Bryan of the IFA said there are many factors outside of a farmers control, such as the cost of fuel and fertilisers, that are pushing costs up.
