Construction industry 'will not recover until 2023'

It will be at least 2023 before the construction industry is sustainable, according to global construction consultants Davis Langdon.

The companys says that even with growth of 10% per year, it would take 10 years for the industry to recover here.

The output of the Irish construction industry is due to decline by 3% this year following a 9% fall in 2012.

Davis Langdon said the 2013 outlook represented relatively good news in terms of curbing the industry's downward spiral.
