Aer Lingus announces 40% profits surge

Aer Lingus has announced operating profits of €69.1m last year, up 40% on 2011 figures.

The airline said 2012 was a record year in terms of passenger numbers with a total of 10.8 million people flying on Aer Lingus flights, a 3.8% increase on 2011.
