Beam Inc., a global spirits company, has bought Cooley Distillery, the award-winning Irish whiskey producer.

The buy-out includes the Kilbeggan, Connemara, Tyrconnell and Greenore brands, as well as Cooley’s malt and grain distilleries in Dundalk and Kilbeggan.
