Enterprise Ireland opens Johannesburg office

Enterprise Ireland has established a new office in Johannesburg in South Africa in a bid to boost exports to the region.

The development agency has also announced details of a number of new contracts and business expansions of Irish companies working in South Africa.

The announcement, which was made during a trade mission to the region, comes as Irish exports report strong growth there, with a increase of 23% on last year.

The Minister for Trade and Development Jan O’Sullivan said the move was part of a major drive to further increase exports to South Africa, and to support Irish companies operating there.
