New Mayo to Edinburgh route launched

The west is set for a €3m boost with the launch of a new airline service between Mayo and Edinburgh.

Regional airline Flybe is to fly between Ireland West Airport Knock and the Scottish city three times a week and five times a week during July and August.

The service is expected to bring in an additional 10,000 tourists to the west with a spend of €3m.
