SIPTU officials have met dozens of people facing redundancy at two Waterstones branches in Dublin.

SIPTU officials have met dozens of people facing redundancy at two Waterstones branches in Dublin.

More than 60 staff members who worked at the Dawson Street and Jervis Shopping Centre branches of the book store have been offered statutory redundancy by the company.

SIPTU is now seeking a meeting with management, to discuss improving redundancy terms for its members.

SIPTU assistant organiser Graham Macken, said management had so far only agreed to deal with an internal staff committee, and not with union representatives.
