CIF to hold meeting on effects of recession on construction
The Construction Industry Federation is holding a meeting this morning for members affected by the recession.
The meeting will address how the appointment of examiners, receivers and liquidators has affected the construction industry.
It is anticipated that more than 150 companies will attend the meeting and members will discuss the implications for contractors in the future and any measures that can be taken to protect their position.
Spokesperson for the CIF, Cathal Lee, said the mood among construction companies will be "sombre".
