EC doubles growth prediction for eurozone
The European Commission has nearly doubled the amount of growth it is predicting for the eurozone this year.
In a twice-yearly interim economic forecast published today, experts say the 16-country block should grow 1.7% in 2010, up from 0.9% in May.
Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn said the European economy is clearly on a path of recovery, but financial uncertainties remain.
