ISEQ dips slightly

The ISEQ index of Irish shares closed down 0.69 points to 2,961.86, a drop of 0.02%.

On a subdued day for traders, notable fallers included CRH, down 22c to €16.30, and Aryzta, slipping 14c to €31.42.

On the risers' board, Elan Corp was up 10c to €3.72 and Kerry Group was also up 10c, to €24.51.

Among financial stocks, AIB added 2c to €0.99 and Irish Life & Permanent was up 6c to €1.84, while Bank of Ireland was a non-mover at €0.86.
