Aer Lingus: Airline faces 'bleak future' without restructuring

Aer Lingus has said the airline "will face a very bleak future" if its latest restructuring plan is not implemented.
The carrier wants to shed 676 jobs - as part of its plan to reduce costs by €97m a year.
Management and unions - who are to attend talks at the Labour Relations Commission next week - are appearing before the Oireachtas Transport Committee today.
The Aer Lingus Director of Coporate Affairs, Enda Corneille, said operational costs at the airline are "too high".
