FBD appoint group finance director

FBD Holdings has announced the appointment of Mr Cathal O'Caoimh as group finance director.

Mr O'Caoimh will join the company and the board of FBD on October 1 2008.

Mr O'Caoimh, a chartered accountant, is the current chief financial officer and a director of Horizon Technology Group plc having joined that company in 2001.

Prior to that he held the role of group finance director of Hibernian Insurance Group having previously been group finance director of Norwich Union in Ireland.

Mr Michael Berkery, Chairman of FBD Holdings, said: "The board is pleased that Cathal O'Caoimh is joining us as group finance director. Cathal's extensive and proven experience in the areas of finance, strategy, technology and corporate finance will further strengthen both our management team and the board."
