BCI inviting applications from programme makers

The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) has today announced details of the fifth funding round of Sound & Vision, the Broadcasting Funding Scheme, for television.

The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) has today announced details of the fifth funding round of Sound & Vision, the Broadcasting Funding Scheme, for television.

They are inviting applications from programme makers for funding for new television programmes dealing with the themes of Irish culture, heritage and experience.

The Sound & Vision scheme also provides funding for new programmes aimed at improving adult literacy.

The previous four rounds of Sound & Vision have seen the allocation of a cumulative total of over €40m for television since the scheme’s inception in October 2005.
