Total Produce acquires Wholefoods

Total Produce plc, Europe’s leading fresh produce company, has announced that it has acquired 92% of Wholefoods Wholesale Ltd. (“Wholefoods”), the health foods distributor.

Wholefoods is the leading distributor to independent health food stores in Ireland of high quality health products, including natural foods, vitamins and mineral supplements. Total Produce has now become involved in this particular sector which has grown strongly in recent years.

The company recorded a turnover of €18 million in 2006.
