IFA seek new hardship category from minister

The Irish Farmers Association wants the Minister for Agriculture to introduce a new hardship category under the 2007 National Reserve.

It claims some farmers had cases unfairly rejected under the 2005 and 2006 schemes.

The association says farmers are frustrated by the application procedure, as well as the long processing delays.
