600 jobs at risk at Procter and Gamble in Nenagh
Six hundred jobs are reportedly hanging in the balance at the Procter and Gamble cosmetics factory in Co Tipperary.
Reports this morning say the US multinational is reviewing its operations worldwide with a view to ceasing production at one of its plants.
Local politicians say workers at the company's Nenagh factory are apprehensive about the situation, with an announcement expected in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, US computer giant Intel has announced plans to lay off 100 workers at its massive plant in Leixlip, Co Kildare
The move follows a 40% fall in profits last year.
