Madrid named Ryanair base

Ryanair’s 18th European base will be in Madrid’s Barajas Airport, with the company investing $210m (€167.6m) in three new aircraft and 14 routes, serving an estimated one million passengers per annum.

Ryanair’s 18th European base will be in Madrid’s Barajas Airport, with the company investing $210m (€167.6m) in three new aircraft and 14 routes, serving an estimated one million passengers per annum.

There will be daily flights between Madrid and Dublin, Eindhoven, Faro, Porto, Marseille and Paris, as well as services to Shannon, Billund, Brussels, East Midlands, Oslo, Bournemouth, Gothenburg and Malmo.

Ryanair already has a base in Barcelona Girona.
