DCC 'well positioned to achieve expectations': Flavin
Business support services company DCC is "well positioned to achieve market expectations in the current year", company boss Jim Flavin has said.
Mr Flavin will address the DCC AGM this morning and will say that not much can be added to the preliminary results announcement on May 15, considering the group's business is second-half weighted.
"However we are pleased with trading results in the first quarter and in particular the continuing pick up in the results of DCC SerCom," Mr Flavin said.
"We continue to be active on the acquisition front and we are confident that the recent acquisition of 50% of the William Tracey group of companies (Scotland's leading recycling and waste management business) and the acquisition announced last Friday of Carlton Fuels (the north of England-based oil distribution business) will prove rewarding," he added.
