Terror attacks hit UK store sales

British department store chain John Lewis today revealed sales fell 11.7% last week as shoppers stayed at home in the wake of the London terrorist attacks.

All 26 stores in the estate saw sales decline on the same period last year, although the earlier timing of the group’s clearance sale distorted the picture.
