ISEQ ends the day on positive note
The ISEQ index of Irish shares has risen 14.91 points today to end the week at 5,557.08.
The biggest climber was Shipping group Irish Continental whose shares went up 37c to €9.87.
Other risers were in the construction sector with both Heiton and Kingspan going up 14c to €6.64 and €5.16 respectively, while Grafton recorded a more modest rise of 8c to stand at €7.08. CRH, however, lost 13c to fall to €18.92.
The financials also had a positive day as the AIB (up 8c to €13.26), Anglo Irish Bank (up 5c to €14.30) and Bank of Ireland (up 5c to €11.29) all recorded rises whil Irish Life and Permanent bucked the trend by faling one cent to end up at €12.44.
Jurys Doyle lost 15 cents in trading, down to €10.55.
DCC, the business support services group, recorded a loss in share price today of 15c to end at €14.30, while insurance and financial services group, FBD Holdings, also saw their stock go down 15c to €16.55.
