ISEQ on the rise in morning trading
The ISEQ has enjoyed a positive morning of trading, climbing 10.24 to 5,352.42 at 11.45am today.
Financial stocks have all been on the rise in early trading. Allied Irish Bank shares have risen 10c to €12.88 today while Bank of Ireland shares are up 12c to €10.96.
Shares in Anglo-Irish Bank have jumped 6c to €13.05 while Irish Life & Permanent is up 5c to €12.55.
Ryanair was celebrating as the company passed the 25 million passenger landmark for the 12 months from July 2003 to July 2004. Shares in Ryanair climbed 13c today to €4.41 today.
CRH shares have risen 2c today to €18.70.
DCC shares began to recover today following its decision to acquire its associate company Allied Foods. Today shares climbed 5c to €14.40.
Elsewhere shares in pharmaceutical giant Elan slipped 15c today to €15.95 while shares in Warner Chilcott (formerly Galen) tumbled 65c to €8.75.
Shares in bookmaking giant Paddy Power have risen 10c today to €10.
