Family ties and unfinished business drive Neal Moylett's Shannon mission

When Neal returned to Ireland after four years in the US, he had a decision to make: where would he play AIL?

Some of Neal Moylett’s earliest rugby memories growing up in Ballina are going to Connacht games and seeing all the Shannon memorabilia on the walls at home: jerseys, photos from games, medals. It influenced decisions he’d made down the line.

His father Mick played for Connacht, was an influential player for Shannon throughout the 1980s, and won his sole cap for Ireland against England in the 1988 Five Nations.
