Save cash with better account management - IFSRA
The Irish Financial Services Regulator has advised consumers that they can make significant savings on fees and charges depending on how they manage their current accounts.
IFSRA said the way a person operated their current account could make a significant difference to the level of charges over a period of time.
For instance, it said, some financial institutions charged more for paper transactions than for telephone or internet banking.
IFSRA said a survey it carried out found that annual charges on current accounts ranged from zero to more than €126.
