Energy group Centrica confirmed today it is in talks to sell the AA motoring organisation it bought from members for £1.1bn (€1.7bn) five years ago.

Energy group Centrica confirmed today it is in talks to sell the AA motoring organisation it bought from members for £1.1bn (€1.7bn) five years ago.

The British Gas owner is thought to be keen on a sale as it would give it firepower to fund acquisitions in the electricity and gas sector.
