New finance chief announced for Waterford Wedgwood

Waterford Wedgwood has announced that Paul D'Alton is set to replace Richard Barnes as chief financial officer from May 4.

Barnes has been in the role since 1994. He will continue to work with the company on a consultancy basis.

Mr D'Alton previously held the chief financial officer position at Bank of Ireland, and before that at Aer Lingus.
