IBEC make last-minute plea to avert transport strike

IBEC has made a last-minute appeal to SIPTU not to go ahead with its 24-hour work stoppage in CIÉ which is scheduled to begin at midnight.

The business lobby group has said the shutdown of the country's buses and trains will do nothing to halt the break up of CIÉ.
