IFSRA issues warning about unlicensed Canadian firm

The financial services regulator (IFSRA) has issued a warning about a Canadian investment firm operating in Ireland without a license.

The IFSRA said Pearson Clarke LLP had been illegally offering investment advice to members of the Irish public.

Giving such advice without authorisation from IFSRA is a criminal offence.

The regulator has advised the public to check if an investment firm is licensed to operate in Ireland before having dealings with it.
